IDF says routine activity in Gaza, no shots fired

The IDF said it performed a routine incursion a few meters into the Gaza Strip on Thursday, refuting Palestinian reports that live artillery had been fired in the direction of agricultural villages in the area.
The IDF regularly patrols along the border, clearing the area of roadside bombs and monitoring the area.
Earlier, Palestinians reported that the IDF was operating inside the Gaza Strip near Beit Lahia, and had fired shots in the direction of farming communities injuring at least seven people, according to the Palestinian Ma'an News Agency.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit denied this, and said that no shots were fired, and that there was no engagement with Palestinians in the area.
