IDF to appoint internal auditor by the end of the year

Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Naveh pledged to the Knesset's State Control Committee on Sunday that an internal auditor for the IDF would be appointed before the end of the year.
The IDF's internal auditor will be the first to be appointed since the State of Israel was founded.
Committee chairman MK Roni Bar-On (Kadima) criticized the length of time it has taken the IDF to appoint an internal auditor.
"This is an issue that has continued for 15 years," he told Naveh. "And since 2005, the State Comptroller issued a report on the matter to the Chief of Staff. This matter could have been decided upon and carried out long ago."
