IDF’s August draft for combat units to begin

Thousands of youth will head to military induction centers across the country on Sunday as the army kicks off its summer draft for combat units.
The IDF Spokesman’s Office said Saturday that 73.3 percent of those capable of serving in combat roles asked to serve in combat units, a 7.1% increase since last year.
 In addition, 46% asked to serve in infantry units, compared to 44.5% last year.
