Iran says Western sanctions boost self-esteem in Tehran

Western sanctions against Iran only serve to boost self-esteem in Tehran, the Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA) quoted Iranian Foreign Ministery spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast as saying on Monday.Mehmanparast made the comments in Tehran during a meeting with Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe's official spokesperson, George Charamba, who visiting the Iranian capital with a media delegation, according to ISNA.Mehmanparast's comments came after reports that the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom were planning to announce a fresh set of sanctions against Iran, including sanctions on Tehran's petrochemicals sector.
