Israel to join UN Women

Israel is expected to join UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, on Sunday.
The cabinet plans to approve Israel's accession to the organization, allocating NIS 3 million to membership dues, in Sunday's cabinet meeting, in a move initiated by Deputy Minister for the Advancement of Women, Young People and Students Gila Gamliel.
A representative of the Prime Minister's Office will head a committee to determine Israel's policies in regards to participation in UN Women.
