Israel to launch use of biometric identification

Israel is launching the use of biometric identification, Channel 2 News said on Wednesday.
In the coming months, the government will call on citizens to change their old identity cards and passports with newer and more secure ones.
The new passport will be electronic and will include a computer chip inside for short-range wireless communication. The files saved on the chip will have biographical information including a photo, fingerprints, signature, and date of birth.
