Israeli airlines workers protest near PM's office

Hundreds of Israeli airline employees demonstrated in front of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's office on Sunday in protest of the government's decision to pass an Open Skies agreement with the EU.
Police arrested eight protesters for disrupting the order after protesters burnt two tires.
Israeli air carriers El Al, Israir and Arkia went on strike on Sunday morning protesting an Open Skies agreement that would allow European countries to fly from Israel, and thus encourage competition. The Israeli airlines say the decision will cause mass lay offs.
