J'lem court: Police to compensate Sheikh Jarrah protesters

A Jerusalem court on Sunday ruled that police will compensate four demonstrators from the Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity Movement for the amount of NIS 25,000 after they were wrongfully arrested, a statement by the movement said.
The four demonstrators were arrested in February during a protest held near the Jerusalem municipality against a plan to establish new settlements in Sheikh Jarrah.
The judge said the arrest of the demonstrators had no basis as they held a protest without breach of any law or regulation.
