Jordan makes Arab world's biggest cake for 65th birthday

Jordan hold's the Guinness Book of World Records title for having the biggest cake in the Arab world, Al Arabiya reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, 32 chefs from Jordan's Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea and 12 engineers worked on the 65-layer cake for three weeks. It took them five days to mix all of the ingredients which included 5,400 eggs, 400 kilograms of flour and 160 kilograms.
The cake was prepared in honor of Jordan's 65th Independence Day, said marketing director at Kempinski Hotels Jordan, Janet Abrahams.
"It is an unprecedented event in Jordan and the whole Arab World. The cake reached as high as 65 layers," she was quoted as saying.
The cake is expected to remain at the lobby of the hotel for the entire week.
