Jordan slams reported decision to demolish J'lem mosque

Jordan on Wednesday rejected a recent decision by Israeli authorities to demolish the extensions of Mohammad Al-Fatih Mosque in Ras el-Amud and Khalid bin Al-Waleed Mosque in Al-Toor neighborhood in Jerusalem, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The Jordanian government said in a statement, that "this decision triggers the resentment of Muslims and all fair-minded and reasonable people in the civilized world, is considered a violation for the sanctity of places of worship which are protected by international conventions and is a void decision that lacks legal legitimacy because it has been issued by an occupation authority which does not have any jurisdiction over 'Awqaf' endowments,"  KUNA reported. The Jordanian government urged the Israeli authorities to stop the decision issued by one of its courts.
