Judge: ‘Ratzon’s personality is sick and destructive’

The ongoing trial of suspected Tel Aviv polygamist and cult leader, 59-year-old Goel Ratzon, continued Tuesday amid harsh statements from the presiding Judge on his alleged crimes, which include enslavement of at least 17 women, their rape and harassment, in addition to fraud.
Tel Aviv District Court judge Hayuta Kochan said Tuesday that according to the testimony of his family members, Ratzon’s personality is “perverse, sick and destructive,” and his conduct exhibited considerable malice.
The judge added that prima facie evidence supports the charges against Ratzon – sexual offenses and keeping women under conditions of slavery.
Ratzon’s has been remanded for the duration of legal proceedings.
