Katz: Running Tel-O-Fun on Yom Kippur crosses red line

Minister of Transport Israel Katz has announced on Sunday that running the bike rental service, "Tel-O-Fun" on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is "crossing the red line."

Katz has threatened to cancel the Ministry of Transport allowance given to the bike project if Mayor Huldai does not retract his intention to run the bikes.

Katz stated that running the project will do "damage to the holiest day for the Jewish people."

With annual subscription to the service, members will be able to rent a bike before the holiday, and return it upon the end without extra charge.
