Knesset approves Gush Katif business owners reparations law

The Knesset passed a law on Wednesday allowing for reparations to be given to business owners who were forced to evacuate from Gush Katif during the 2005 Israeli disengagement from the Gaza Strip. The legislation was proposed by coalition chair Ze'ev Elkin (Likud).
According to the new law, business owners will be given a monthly pension of NIS 4,000.
