Labor MK calls on Herzog to 'end farce immediately'

Sources close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the meeting with Liberman does not mean that he is no longer interested in the possibility that Zionist Union might join his government.

Netanyahu indicated that he is interested in continuing talks in order to build the widest government possible.

Labor MK Shelly Yakimovich called Herzog a tragic hero that brings shame to the labor party.

She wrote that "as expected Herzog fell prey to Netanyahu's political tricks."

"The labor party suffered a harsh blow to the little faith that the public still has in it. Netanyahu was willing to throw Herzog a bone and now he will not even get that."

Yakimovich concluded, "Even if the Netanyahu-Liberman meeting does not result in a deal, Herzog should end this farce immediately."
