Leader says rebels not seeking office post-Gaddafi

BENGHAZI, Libya - Members of the Libyan rebel administration will not seek office if Muammar Gaddafi is removed from power, the head of the rebels' Benghazi-based council said on Saturday.
Mustafa Abdel Jalil, who is trying to president his interim National Transitional Council (NTC) as a credible temporary alterative to Gaddafi, told a news conference marking 100 days since the Feb. 17 uprising began that he hoped elections would be held within a year.
