Lebanese government likely to be formed by Christmas, finance minster says

BEIRUT - A new Lebanese national unity government is likely to be formed by Christmas at the start of next week, caretaker finance minister Ali Hassan Khalil told Reuters on Tuesday.
He said the government formation would "open the way for" the economic issues facing Lebanon to be tackled. Lebanon has a stagnant economy and the third largest debt-to-GDP ratio in the world.
