Libyan warplane carries out air strike in Brega

BREGA, Libya - A Libyan warplane dropped a bomb on Wednesday that exploded close to an oil engineering university in the eastern port of Brega, about two kilometers from the oil exporting terminal.
"I saw the plane and then the explosion while we were celebrating our victory in Brega," oil field worker Hamad Sakhiri said. "I heard the plane go over and an explosion," said Reuters correspondent Mohammed Abbas, close to the scene.
"There is a crater now about 8 meters (26 ft) in diameter and 3 meters deep," said a security expert, who was also at the scene.
