Lieberman: Uzi Arad will not be envoy to London

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Monday said that National Security Council head Uzi Arad will not be the ambassador to London despite Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's decision that he would replace Ron Prosor in the position. Prosor was reportedly chosen to be Israel's UN ambassador.
"I read in shock that [Netanyahu] appointed Prosor and Arad in London," Lieberman stated. "The prime minister doesn't have to fight for credit. I'll be considerate of his stance but all the appointments will be made by the Foreign Ministry only," he added.
"I respect Uzi Arad, but he won't be the ambassador in London. I spoke to Uzi Arad, told him I'm sorry it came out the way it did. We don't need an outside appointment in London," Lieberman said at an Israel Beiteinu faction meeting.
"There are enough people in the Foreign Ministry, including people born in London. I am acting like every Foreign Minister did."
