Kadima leader Tzipi Livni on Monday decried the hypocrisy of former pensioners affairs minister Rafi Eitan, who last week endorsed Kadima primary candidate Shaul Mofaz for party leadership.
According to a statement released by her office, Eitan had said that he campaigned for Livni not to form a government conditioned on ultra-orthodox support after the 2008 election, while now he supports the haredi parties. The statement added that "today those that campaigned to thwart a Livni-led government [in 2008] have joined those that are campaigning to thwart a Livni victory in the Kadima primaries."
