Livni to victims of sexual harassment: 'We're all with you'

Opposition head Tzipi Livni reached out to female victims of violence and harassment in a lecture to WIZO in Haifa on Tuesday.

"In the last few years, we've seen ugly phenomena in Israeli society - harassment women and violence towards them," Livni said. "Existing legislation allows women to take the necessary steps and complain. I have never discussed specific instances that are under investigation, but I want to send a message to those women whose faces we see blurred out [on television.]"

"We are all with you, even when you're slandered. To all women - you have the inner strength that can change an entire society in one step," she added. "Any one of you, by turning to the police, influences Israeli society."
