A particularly brutal train crash near Atlit resulted in the death of one man in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday.
The accident - possibly a suicide attempt - occurred about 300 meters away from the rail supervisor.
The identity of the deceased was not known.
Police were investigating the incident.
