'Merkel: Multiculturalism in Germany has utterly failed'

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Saturday told young members of her Christian Democrats party that Germany's attempt at multiculturalism has failed, Reuters reported.

Merkel said that, "This [multicultural] approach has failed, utterly failed," according to the report.

The German Chancellor went on to describe how too little had been required of immigrants in Germany, and that they should learn German so they can better succeed in school and in the labor market, Reuters reported.
