Mofaz: Escalation in Gaza localized but IDF must be ready

Vice Premier Shaul Mofaz said on Wednesday that the recent escalation along Israel@@@s southern border is a localized issue, but added that the IDF must be ready for anything.
Speaking to Army Radio, Mofaz also addressed the international community@@@s ongoing negotiations with Iran via the P5+1, stating his opinion that Iran might be using these talks to delay real concessions on its nuclear program. "We can not allow this agreement to allow the Iranians to drag out their nuclear program," he said.
Turning to recent discussion in the Knesset over settlements in the West Bank, Mofaz said that Israel must adhere to the rulings of the courts. "What is not legal is not legal," he said. "We must defer to the rulings of the Supreme Court."
