Nation’s forests kosher for Passover

The Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund, through the office of the Chief Rabbinate, has deemed Israel’s forests kosher for Passover and hametz-free.
“The people of Israel can relax and enjoy the days of Hol Hamoed [the intermediate days of the holiday] on ‘kosher for Passover’ hikes in KKL-JNF parks and forests throughout the country,” KKL-JNF said on Sunday. More than 2 million visitors are expected in the forests over the holiday; KKL-JNF foresters have been busy preparing the areas.
“KKL-JNF continues to work to promote the importance of planting and maintaining the forests of Israel,” said Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger.
