Noam and Aviva Schalit to address UN Human Rights Commission

Noam and Aviva Schalit, the parents of captured IDF soldier St.-Sgt. Gilad Schalit, are set to travel to Geneva on Sunday in order to address the UNHRC - the international body that appointed the Goldstone Commission and endorsed its report into Operation Cast Lead. The two will appeal to the UN for support in efforts to release their son from Hamas custody.
Prior to their departure, the Schalits will meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who will visit Gaza on Sunday to assess the humanitarian situation there.
