Olmert undergoes hernia surgery

Former prime minister Ehud Olmert underwent a hernia operation Friday at Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer in a procedure that was unrelated to his ongoing treatment for prostate cancer.
The 64-year-old politician turned businessman had been suffering for the past several months.
Olmert@@@s spokesman said he would need a few days of rest to recover from the operation but that it would not affect his corruption trial that began last week.
