Police Commissioner: reports about Temple Mount leading to violence

Israel Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino said that recent events began with incitement by extremists from all parties. Their purpose was one: to create an atmosphere that cultivates hatred and acts of terror using a recipe that has no basis in reality - a declaration that al-Aksa in jeopardy.

The commissioner said Israeli police continue to maintain the status quo and order on the Temple Mount and there is no connection between the reality there and the fervent media reports and irresponsible statements from leaders from all sides.
