Poll: More than half of public doesn't trust Ehud Barak

More than half of the Israeli public does not trust Ehud Barak as the defense minister, a new poll commissioned by the Knesset Channel and conducted by "Panels" revealed on Monday. According to the results of the poll, which will be released in full Monday night on the Knesset Channel, 51 percent of the public does not trust Barak, while 38% said they do trust him.
Asked about the prospect of Barak continuing to serve as defense minister as a special appointee even if his new Independence Party does not meet the minimum threshold for entering the Knesset, 62% of those polled said they opposed the idea, while 22% said they approved of it.
Questioned about prospects for the defense minister improving his public image, 46% of the sample said there was nothing that could be done to improve his image, while six percent said Barak has no image problem.
