Protests, clashes in Bahrain before Formula One race

MANAMA - Activists reported clashes in several districts in Bahrain on Saturday, a day before the Formula One Grand Prix race, and Reuters witnesses saw thousands taking part in an anti-government protest.
Around 7,000 people took part in a march called by opposition parties in Diraz, holding banners for democratic reforms in the Shi'ite-majority Gulf Arab state which is governed by the Sunni Muslim Al Khalifa family.
