The quota of Gazan merchants passing through the Erez Crossing will be increased by an additional 3,000 on Thursday - which would bring the total number to 10,000, according to an announcement from Major-General Rassan Alian on Wednesday following a security assessment of the situation.
However, only merchants who have received a coronavirus vaccine will receive a permit to cross.
Any further expansion of these measures will be in accordance with a security assessment.
