Rabbi Yosef: Sephardim should not study with Ashkenazim

Shas Spiritual leader, Rabbi Ovdia Yosef said Saturday evening that he will change discrimination at Ashkenazi education institutions by opposing Sephardim that send their children to Ashkenazi institutions.

"A student that studies at an Ashkenazi institution will have an Ashkenazi brain and will not understand Torah," said Yosef.

Rabbi Yosef said about the Emmanual affair that "there is Sephardi school in the settlement with 140 students and the Sephardim went and petitioned to the Supreme Court that the students were not accepted to the Ashkenazi school - they should have gone to the Sephardi school in the first place."
