Remand extended for driver in south TA truck rampage

The Petach Tikvah Magistrate's Court on Wednesday extended by four days the remand of Islam Ibrahim Issa, accused of carrying out a terror attack in South Tel Aviv on May 15th.
Issa drove his truck into a series of cars, a bus, and a bus stop on South Tel Aviv's Bar Lev Street killing Aviv Morag, 29, of Givatayim and injuring over a dozen more. On Saturday, police took Islam to carry out a reenactment of the incident, which he maintains was an accident, and the result of a flat tire that caused him to lose control of the truck.
The incident involving the 22-year-old truck driver from Kfar Qassem took place on "Nakba Day", when Palestinians mourn the founding of the state of Israel.
