TEHERAN, Iran — A handmade grenade exploded near Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's convoy in western Iran on Wednesday, according to a conservative website.
The website, khabaronline.ir, said that the blast took place in Hamedan as Ahmadinejad was about to address a crowd. The Web site reported that the Iranian president was unhurt. Ahmadinejad gave his speech as planned and it was broadcast live on state TV.
Officials could not immediately be reached to confirm the report of the attack.
