Report: Israel plans to build separation barrier in Golan

Israel plans to build a barrier in the Golan Heights to separate the town of Majdal Shams on the Israeli side from the suburb of Al-Oude and Ain Al-Tinah in Syria, the Syrian semi-official SANA news agency reported.

According to the report, the cement wall will be four kilometers long and eight meters high.

SANA also reported that the wall is expected to be completed in September, before the UN vote on Palestinian statehood.
