Report: Lebanon to allow its citizens to return from Israel

Lebanon's parliament approved a draft law Thursday that would allow the return of Lebanese citizens who fled to Israel. Several thousand members of the South Lebanon Army fled to Israel following the IDF's withdrawal from the country in 2000.
SLA fighters who choose to return would be arrested upon crossing the border and tried under Lebanese law. However, the Lebanese cabinet was to draw up provisions for SLA members' "families and other Lebanese who hadn't collaborated with the Jewish state" to return without facing arrest, Naharnet reported.
