Residents meet to discuss response to court ultimatum

Representatives of medical residents who resigned in protest of what they see as an unfair labor agreement, met Saturday night to plan their response to an ultimatum handed to them by the High Court of Justice on Thursday.
The High Court decided that the residents could agree to talks with the Finance Ministry within 72 hours, scheduled to expire on Sunday, or respond to the National Labor Court over the state’s request to make those doctors who have resigned subject to contempt-of-court orders.
