A 23-year-old from Rosh Pina was declared missing on Thursday after he did not contact his family for over a month during a trip to Peru. Omri Lahad traveled to South America in June with friends, but at the end of October they went their separate ways. He was last seen in the city of Leticia, a gateway to the Amazon rainforests on the border between Colombia and Peru. It is assumed that he later set forth to the Peruvian city of Iquitos. Several search teams were dispatched to the area in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry, but Lahad has not yet been found.
