Russia outlaws 'Mein Kampf'

MOSCOW — Russia's government announced Friday it will ban the sale of Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf after prosecutors determined the autobiography violates a federal law against extremism.
The book will be added to the federal list of extremist materials because it expresses "militarist views, justifies discrimination and also justifies the extermination of non-Aryan people," the Prosecutor General's Office said on its Web site Friday.
"Until now, the book could be openly accessed on certain Web sites, and was sold semi-legally by book vendors without being banned," prosecutors said.
