Sappers dismantle explosive devices found in Haifa car

Police sappers dismantled several explosive devices planted in a car in the city's Hadar neighborhood on Thursday. Following reports of a suspicious-looking object on the junction of Hillel and Balfour Streets in the neighborhood, police arrived with sappers and cordoned the area. Eye witnesses said several suspects were detained. The blockade caused traffic jams in the area. Sappers took about an hour to take apart the bombs. Police refused to specify the details of the investigation, but said the devices were planted by criminal forces and not on a nationalistic background. Two months ago an explosive device went off in a car in Haifa. One man was killed and two wounded in that attack.
