Sheikh Salah convicted of interfering with police body search of his wife

Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement in Israel’s northern branch was convicted on Thursday by the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court of interfering with police work.
The court said that Salah went out of control when a policewoman asked to perform a security body search on his wife at the Alanby Bridge, including low-key physical attacks on police to try to enter the room where his wife was being checked.
In March, Salah was sentenced to eight months in prison for incitement and he has had many run ins with Israeli law enforcement.
