'Somali terrorists on the loose in the United States'

The United States government believes that terrorists from East Africa managed to enter the United States and their whereabouts are unknown, the Associated Press reported Monday.
According to the report, a man currently in custody led federal agents to believe that he helped smuggle a member of the al-Qaida allied al-Shabaabp terrorist group based in Somalia.
"He admits that he knowingly believed he was smuggling violent jihadists into the United States with the full knowledge that if the decision was made by the (specially designated global terrorist groups) ... these jihadists would commit violent acts in and against the United States," the AP report quoted a US Justice Department memo as saying.
