Some 2,100 nurses have completed their training at a variety of institutions and passed their licensing tests, according to Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, Health Ministry Director-General Professor Nahman Ash, and Israel's Chief Nurse Dr. Shoshi Goldberg.
The new nurses will join the medical ranks and will provide much-needed assistance in the fight against the coronavirus.
