South Korea: 2 burnt bodies found on island

South Korea — South Korea said the burnt bodies of two male civilians were found on an island attacked by North Korea.
The South Korean Coast Guard said the two construction workers were found Wednesday. They were believed to be in their sixties. The discovery came day after a frightening military skirmish between the Koreas ratcheted tensions on the peninsula to new extremes.
North Korea's artillery attack on a small South Korean island near their disputed border killed at least two marines and wounded civilians in what UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called one of the "gravest incidents" since the end of the Korean War.
