Transportation Minister: Revoke draft dodgers' drivers licenses

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz on Sunday called on the cabinet to revoke the drivers licenses of IDF draft dodgers who claim they are mentally unfit to serve in the military. "Whoever is released from the IDF due to a mental condition is probably not capable of driving," he said, adding that the government should impose tough penalties on those who dodge army service due to mental health concerns. Later on Sunday, the Association for Civil Rights in Israel condemned the transportation minister's initiative.
