Victims of Itamar attack identified as the Fogel family

The names of the five victims of a terror attack Friday night in the West Bank settlement of Itamar were released on Saturday. The victims include five members of the Fogel family, father Udi, 36, mother Ruth, 35, and children Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and Hadas, 3 months, all of whom were stabbed to death inside their home.

The remaining three children, 12-year-old Tamar, 8-year-old Roi, and Shai, 2 years old survived the attack and are staying with their grandparents in the nearby settlement of Neve Tzuf.

The members of the Fogel family will be laid to rest at the Mount Hamenuchah cemetery in Jerusalem on Sunday at 1:30 pm.

The grandfather, Haim Fogel, said Saturday evening that "we heard the bitter news of the terror attack at 3am, from the Neve Tzof emergency rescue team, led by Rabbi Yonatan Blass. They took us to Udi's house in Itamar, we saw the terrible murder scene. We then went back home with the three children who were let alive."

Fogel added that the last time he spoke to Udi was on Friday before the Sabbath began, and recounted spending the previous Saturday with Udi and Ruth and their children in Itamar to celebrate Rosh Chodesh.
