Widow of fallen Carmel firefighter gives birth to baby girl

The widow of fallen firefighter Danny Hayat, killed in the Carmel blaze, gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Monday. The girl, 3.6 kilograms (nearly 8 lbs), was born at the Emek Hospital in Afula.
Hayat, 35, was among the first of the firemen who arrived at the bus-load of prison wardens that burned on the first day of the fire. He sustained burns over 50 percent of his body and lungs and died two weeks after being injured.
