Yacimovich says Livni party undermines trust in politics

Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich on Monday accused Tzipi Livni of undermining the public's trust in politics by forming a new party, which she called an "arbitrary collection of refugees from defeated parties."
Livni, a former foreign minister, was voted out of Kadima's top slot earlier in the year and announced the formation of her own party in late November. On Sunday, Livni named former Labor leader Amram Mitzna, who unsuccesfully ran against Yacimovich in last year's Labor election, as her party’s number two.Yacimovich said that politicians "opportunistically" jumping ship without regard to ideology would cause the public to lose trust in Israel's political system.
