Yisrael Betinu calls Lapid-Gantz merger baseless

Yisrael Beiteinu slammed the merger between Yesh Atid head Yair Lapid and Israel Resilience party leader Benny Gantz, saying that the new party was too "general heavy," meaning that it has too many military professionals," and that they came together because they were in search of government portfolios.

The party also slammed Likud for cutting a deal with Beit Yehudi, who in turn made a deal with extreme right-wing party Otzma Yehudit.
"On the one hand, you have a party that has no concern for the common citizen," he said. "On the other hand, is a right-leaning bloc packed full of extremist religious elements."
He said only his party will prevent the spread and increase of religious coercion.
