International Chinese photovoltaic solar equipment company ET Solar has hired Rafi Kirshenbaum to represent the company in Israel, the company announced this week. ET Solar manufactures solar panels and trackers, which it then sells to energy companies or private initiatives for installation.
ET Solar officials said the natural conditions of the Middle East, especially the abundant sunlight, made it a natural market for solar energy. One of its advantages, the company claimed, is that it will establish forward supply bases to provide its products rapidly to the market.
Without a domestic solar equipment manufacturer, Israeli companies must rely on importing panels from abroad, which can prolong projects. The company said that having an Israel representative and a quick supply chain would help Israel's budding solar energy market to expand.
