Apple is nearing the decisive stage in the development of the next generation of its Mac computers. According to a report by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the company is about to begin mass production of new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models, along with two upgraded Mac displays. The launch is planned to take place between the end of the current year and the beginning of next year, suggesting that the tech giant is maintaining a high release pace and trying to get ahead of competitors with updated hardware and significant improvements in performance and user experience. The report matches Apple’s familiar pattern, but also raises the possibility of some change in the timetable, as in recent months there have been reports of an intention to bring forward the launch of the new MacBook Pro to early 2026 instead of waiting for the second half of the year.

Gurman already mentioned at the beginning of the year that the M5 chip, which will be embedded in the next MacBook Pro model, was supposed to enter production in the second half of 2025. However, updates he published in July suggested that Apple is considering moving up the schedule, a move that could give it an advantage in the laptop market against competing manufacturers. The company’s tradition usually includes a MacBook Pro launch in the fall, followed by a MacBook Air in the spring, but this time it seems the company is considering a more flexible schedule that may surprise users.

In addition to laptops, Apple is also planning a refresh of its Mac display lineup. One of the two new displays expected to be revealed is likely an upgraded version of the Studio Display, which was first introduced in March 2022. The existing display has already gained popularity among professional audiences thanks to its clean design and integration into Apple’s ecosystem, but it has not been significantly updated since then. According to estimates, the new model will feature mini-LED technology, brightness upgrades, and a significant improvement in color range—features that will strengthen its status among creatives and advanced users.
